With their new roster, SK Gaming participated in the 2011 IEM Season VI - Global Challenge Cologne. One of the biggest roster changes in SK Gaming's history occurred on June of 2011, with ALth0r, Farfain, LimeLight, nRated, Severus, and SleazyWeazy leaving, and being replaced by Candy Panda, WetDreaM, and Nyph. The SK lineup would undergo a few more changes in the coming months. Araneae would leave SK Gaming on March 23 of the following year.
With this pickup, SK acquired Araneae, nRated, Rashaasii, Wickd, ALth0r, and ocelote. On December 8, 2010, SK Gaming expanded their roster by recruiting the members of Team Dimegio. There, SK Gaming would fall to Counter Logic Gaming 1-2, taking home second place. In the playoffs, SK Gaming was able to defeat ChinaHero in their rematch 2-0, advancing to the finals. Going 2-1 by defeating AnotherStory and Counter Logic Gaming Prime, while falling to ChinaHero.
In the group stage, SK Gaming entered a three way match, tied for first. With this lineup, SK Gaming was able to take second place at the 2010 World Cyber Games. SK Gaming's foray into League of Legends began on September 16, 2010, when SK acquired team I WEAR A CAPE IRL consisting of Osaft22, SleazyWeazy, Severus, Reyk, Zylor, Pylat, and Awe kek. The organization entered the League of Legends scene in September 2010. SK Gaming is a German team that has been part of the esports community since 1997, making it the oldest esports organization in the world.
